We are united in protecting our pack and surrounding community by working together to support a culture of mutual care.
We are flexible and adapting to the changing environment to do all we can to keep our USask community safe as well as contributing to the safety of the city and the province. Our response reflects in many ways our commitment to being the university the world needs.
SUPPORT CULTURE OF MUTUAL CARE
Follow and champion the safety guidelines in place to protect our community, be patient with and kind to each other during these challenging times and be prepared to prevent or address social stigma associated with COVID-19.
WEAR A MASK
Cover your mouth and nose with a face cover when around others. You could spread COVID-19 to others even if you do not feel sick.
WASH YOUR HANDS OFTEN
Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds especially after you have been in a public place, or after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing.
AVOID CLOSE CONTACT
Put distance between yourself and other people. If you can’t maintain social distance, use your mask.
CLEAN AND DISINFECT
Clean AND disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily.
MONITOR YOUR HEALTH
Be alert for symptoms. Watch for fever, cough, shortness of breath or other symptoms of COVID-19. Use the online self-assessment tool to determine whether you should be tested for COVID-19.
STAY HOME IF YOU ARE SICK
If you believe you have COVID-19, call HealthLine at 811.
Since the first cases of COVID-19 were announced in the province, the USask community has united to find solutions, save lives, and to support one another in these uncertain times.
USask will continue to:
Value, protect and support our people.
We will seek and implement the best guidance possible for the health and safety of our students and employees, and to ensure the return of people to campus will be done in a conscious, careful, and methodical way.
Deliver the academic and research mission of the University of Saskatchewan.
We continue our important academic, research, and community engagement work as the University the World Needs.
Support Student Success.
We prioritize students’ academic progress and providing them with the supports they need, and we strive to minimize adverse impacts to their academic progress.
Engage and Contribute.
We will effectively contribute to the province’s efforts to respond to the rapidly shifting public health situation and the province’s recovery, while also contributing to global efforts to address the coronavirus pandemic.
